Dandridge Streets were alive with action on Wednesday afternoon as the Farm Bureau and their iconic spokes figure Farmer Charlie came to Town to shoot their newest advertising piece. The original "Jake from State Farm" was an out-of-shape older white guy; in fact, I read somewhere (but can't confirm) that he really was a State Farm agent named Jake who made one or two commercials as a side gig but was not an actor.
